Come depleted.
Leave restored.
A gathering place built around nature, nourishment, movement and rest.
Why I’m building this.
There's a moment just before a horse canters where it pauses, shifts back on its haunches, and gathers itself.
It's the subtlest of movements, but that stillness and alignment are what make the leap forward possible.
That's what Hearth & Hound is for.
I'm Emily. I found my own version of that pause on horseback in Ireland, Argentina, and Mexico, experiences that changed how I think about rest, connection, and what it means to come back to yourself.
I'm building the place I wished existed closer to home.
The experience.
You arrive to a cold drink and a warm welcome.
Your room is yours to retreat to whenever you need it.
Three times a day, a long table is set, and the food comes from the land around you.
The rest is up to you.
Each day, there are simple invitations — a morning walk, a yoga session, time with the animals, an afternoon to do nothing at all.
You choose what you need.
Most people arrive not knowing what that is. By the time they leave, they do.
Stay in the loop.
Hearth & Hound is in the making.
Whether you want to follow along, share ideas, or explore what's possible together, we'd love to hear from you.
Why Hearth & Hound
More Than a Name
The hearth has always been a symbol of warmth, gathering, and coming home to yourself.
It’s where people slow down, share stories, and feel held by something older and steadier than the day’s noise.
The hound is companionship, loyalty, and play.
It reminds us to move, explore, and follow our instincts.
To sniff out joy and stay close to what matters.
Together, Hearth & Hound is an invitation to reconnect.
With others. With the seasons. With the version of you that’s been waiting for a slower, deeper rhythm.
This isn’t just a name.
It’s the kind of life we’re building.
